Your hosts

Your hosts are husband and wife team, Blyth Adams and Ann Lockhart.

Blyth has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years. He is a trained chef and former hotel manager at some of New Zealand’s leading tourist resorts including Chateau Tongariro and The Hermitage at Mt Cook village.  Blyth’s extensive hospitality background includes owning restaurants as well as tutoring in food and beverage.

Naturally good natured, master of all trades and always with a ‘cunning plan’ – Blyth has used his extensive outdoor experience while in these regions.  A keen fisherman, hunter and for many years a professional river rafting guide, Blyth has amassed an abundance of ‘boy’s toys’ during the renovation of the homestead – drill presses, skill saws, electric drills, chain saws, grinders and the precious Lotus Super Seven. All this and a Culinary Master!

Ann has had a career in Marketing & Sales at some of New Zealand’s leading companies in the outdoor and merino apparel export industries. This has meant travelling both in New Zealand and around the world lugging suitcases full of clothing samples. Son Tim once rang asking what was on the dinner menu that night not realising his mother was standing on The Great Wall of China! Needless to say dinner was the last thing on Ann’s mind and perhaps he should ask his father!

Ann’s naturally gregarious and hospitable personality will ensure you have a most memorable stay and from now on people from all over the world can bring their suitcases to her in the Cardrona Valley!

Your hosts, Blyth and Ann are passionate about offering luxury boutique accommodation, and are keen to share with you their love for the Cardrona Valley, and all that the Wanaka region has to offer. We are happy to assist with itineraries, bookings or sightseeing excursions in order to make the most of your stay in this most beautiful area of New Zealand.
